About the Assignment

Ascendis Pharma is looking for an experienced M365 Architect Consultant to join the Storage & Collaboration team.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, managing, and scaling the organization's Microsoft 365 collaboration and storage platforms. You will play a key role in evaluating the current environment, strengthening governance and security frameworks, and driving the adoption of modern workplace solutions.

This is a hands-on role that combines strategic architecture responsibilities with operational support, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bridging business requirements and technical capabilities.
  • Define, document, and implement a comprehensive M365 governance model.
  • Review existing solutions and establish future-state architectures with a strong focus on:User Management
    Data Security
    Retention Policies
    Backup & Recovery
    Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
  • Drive Microsoft 365 security best practices, including Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Information Protection.
  • Facilitate workshops with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Support adoption and readiness initiatives across the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Plan and execute tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Provide expert guidance on Microsoft 365 solutions and best practices.
  • Contribute to daily operations, support activities, and platform optimization efforts.

Automation & Scripting

  • PnP PowerShell
  • Power Automate
  • Automation of Microsoft 365 processes and workflows
  • Process optimization and operational efficiency improvements

Preferred Experience

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience within Microsoft 365 Architecture.
  • Experience from a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and service management processes.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and DevOps practices.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including SOPs, user guides, and requirements documentation.
