Simulation Engineer - SIL Architecture Lead
Assignment Description
We are looking for a skilled Simulation Engineer to join a client engagement through our consultancy brokerage. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an Open-Loop SIL simulation framework, driving architectural improvements, and ensuring reliable execution of simulation jobs on high-performance clusters.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and optimize Open-Loop SIL Simulation Framework tools and services
- Provide technical leadership in system architecture, design patterns, and best coding practices
- Review current architecture and propose a more efficient microservices-based solution
- Ensure smooth operation of continuous simulation jobs (CI pipelines and developer tests) on HPC clusters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring developers in architecture and design
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
- Version control expertise with Git (Gerrit experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Proficiency in Linux environments and Bash scripting
- Experience managing high-performance compute clusters
- Fluent English communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Background in automotive or traffic simulation domains
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Practical Information
Engagement Duration: 6–12 months, extension possible
Start Date: Immediate or by agreement
Location: Hybrid remote/on-site at client in Gothenburg, Lindholmen
